Project Description
The wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Tubli is the main plant of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is structurally in poor condition. Therefore Extension and rehabilitation of WPCC from 200,000 m³/d to 400,000 m³/d is planned. Measures implemented by p2m in the past:
- 2007 – 2008: Design for an upgrade of Tubli WPCC to 350,000 m³/d capacity
- 2008 – 2010: Bahrain Master Plan for Sanitary Engineering
- 2009 – 2011: Short Term Measures part 1
- 2010 – 2013: Implementation of HYBACS Process
- 2011 – 2012: Short Term Measures part 2
- 2011 – 2018: Rehabilitation of 41 Pumping Stations
- 2015 – 2017: Sewage Treatment Plant Muharraq
- 2015 – 2019: Juffair to Tubli Trunk Sewer (JTTS)
- 2015 – 2018: North-East Muharraq Trunk Sewer (NETS)
- 2016 – 2019: Western Primary Trunk Sewer (WPTS)
- 2019 – 2021: Upgrade and Extension of South-West wastewater treatment plant
- 2012 – to date: Consulting Services for the Extension and Upgrade of Tubli WPCC to 400,000 m³/d capacity
