Project description
The GIZ started an assessment at selected water utilities to identify energy savings potential at wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and treatment stages with high greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Possible measures for the three Jordanian WWTPs Al Ramtha, Kufranja and Wadi Mousa could be:
- Installation of frequency converters
- Aeration control depending on DO-concentration
- Replacement of IE 1 motors by higher efficiency (aerators, pumps and Mixers)
